Turbines 'add to carbon output'

The wind turbine revolution could fuel global warming, experts warned today. Government advisers found the environmental cost of transporting, building, installing and maintaining wind turbines in urban areas often outweighs the green benefits. The Building Research Establishment Trust found that the mini-turbines often increase a home's carbon footprint, especially if there are complications with the installation, as happened with Tory Leader David Cameron's Kensington home.
